A Note from the Medical Editor
August is National Immunization Month and emphasizing the importance of immunizations is more important than ever. You've probably heard about the current outbreaks of pertussis, which has killed six infants in California this year, as well as recent outbreaks of Hib meningitis in Minnesota and measles around San Diego. It is vitally important that all parents understand that vaccines offer safe and effective protection from infectious diseases. Are your children up-to-date?
