A Note from the Medical Editor

Itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, stuffy head, and runny noses…

This time of year, it’s often hard to tell if your child is suffering from allergies or the common cold. Nasal allergies, also known as allergic rhinitis or hay fever, may appear in children as young as 2 to 3 years of age!

If you are concerned, talk with your pediatrician to find out what specific allergies may be affecting your child and how to best treat them, while still letting kids enjoy the outdoors.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of HealthyChildren.org en Español and enable Hispanic parents to quickly find important and trusted child health information in Spanish.

The new website aims to improve child health literacy among Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers so they may better understand disease prevention and treatment, and as a result, feel empowered to be proactive about their children’s health.

Don't speak Spanish? No worries! You can easily toggle between the English and Spanish sites.
